dog has been gagging and breathing abnormally

I have a boxer; what is wrong with my dog if she has been dry gagging and breathing abnormally for about 2 weeks whenever she gets up to walk? she is about 5 years old

Answer
You need to get your dog to the vets. Boxers are very prone to cardio-myopathy and other heart issues.

She needs to have some xrays done on her and a blood test for heartworms. Hopefully she has been on heartworm prevention all of this time.
