inflamed butthole

My dog has had an inflamed butthole for about a month. He doesn't seem to be in pain but sometimes he will rub his butt on the grass after he goes poop. I thought it was just plain old irritation at first but it hasn't gone away so I'm getting worried. Could you send me information on what might be wrong with him. Thank You.

there are many things that can be wrong. Your dog should see the vet.

He can have:
1. intestinal parasites that cause the itchiness
2. food allergy
3. enviormental allergy
4. anal glands are impacted or full _usually these empty when they defecate.
