Behavior after spayed

Question
Hello Eric...My wife and I are the owners of 2 seven months old cats. We just got them spayed 2 days ago (3-2-04). Before the surgery , they were they best of friends. Now after the surgery, they have been hissing at eachother and will not even come near eachother. The vet told us that one of them was already in heat when she got spayed. We wanted to know if this plays a major factor in the behavior toward eachother, and will this behavior end soon?
Thanks in advance
~Rory

Answer
Well to the best of my knowledge female cats are not suppose to be spayed if there in heat.  Your vet should of never spayed the cat that was in heat.  The reason they may not like each other is because of the smell from the vet is still on there fur, try rubbing catnip on both of them.  I would talk to your vet about your cat in estrus and getting spayed.
