My dog, Bailey is throwing up and urging

Question
Hi there,
I have a quik question about my 16 month old spayed yellow lab, Bailey. She is in good health and her shots are all up to date. Over the past month or do, she has been throwing up and urging a lot. She sometimes throws up a yellowis-brownish substance, and other times, she will urge and seems to just spit up saliva. I am wondering if it could be related to a change in dog food or possibly rawhide bones? Her temperment has not changed any and she does not appear "sick". She had a 'cold' last November and she was visibly different, more subdued, whimpering, etc. Now the only visible change is the actual urging and throwing up (and thinking she's in trouble for throwing up in the house). We are starting to worry that there is a serious problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help/suggestions you can give.

Answer
It is most likely related to diet.  I would recommend feeding her an all natural diet such as Innova, Eagle Pack, Verus or Natural Balance and consider adding a supplement called NUPRO to her diet.

Best thing is to feed her 2 meals a day and give her snacks throughout the day.

I would also discontinue the rawhides for now.  Fast her for 24 hours, then reintroduce some plain chicken and rice to see how she handles that.  If the vomiting is reduced, then start mixing in the new natural diet with the chicken and rice and wean her to the new food.

If this does not settle the vomiting, then I would recommend blood testing and x-rays.
