Question
Hi, i feed a colony of about 100 cats, so i am quite familiar with most of the common ailments.
however about a month ago i found one of the cats
bleeding from nose and lifting her paw as if there was somrthing embedded inside. this cat had been perfectly normal a couple of days before. My vet told me it was probably due to some corrosive substance she had come into contact with and prescribed injections which brought on a severe reaction where the cats body came out in lumps so we had to swich to terramycin tablets which she has been on for about 10 days. She has improved in terms of the nose bleeds and her appitite has returned however
her fur is coming out it tufts and she still lifts up her paw even though there doesen't seem
to be much wrong with it.I Don't think it's ring worm because there are no round patches. Could
you please help me figure out if it a reaction to the medication or something else. I thank you in advance for your time .

Regards
Martha Kane

Answer
It is hard for me to diagnose on the internet without doing an exam.  It is quite possible that something irritating contacted the paw and then the paw contacted another part of the body. That will cause reactions in other places.  I have found over the years that a bad tooth can also cause a nosebleed.  Ask the vet to ckeck the teeth.
