Question
Hello Scott,
Its me Art again. My tank is doing really good, there have been no casualties in the tank.  I have just added a Longhorn Cow Fish. He is an awesome little guy.  I had a question about how to use the PhosBan you recommended to me a few weeks ago, do you need any special filters or anything to use PhosBan.  I dont have a protien skimmer. It won't fit on my hooded tank.  Can I have starfish and anemones without a skimmer? If not can you recommend a skimmer that would fit.  I appreciate all your help man it has made this fun hobby a lot more interesting and easier. Thanks,

Answer
Art,
PhosBan works in your canister or power filter just like a bag of carbon.  It comes with it's own flow through bag that you can place anywhere inside the filter.  As long as it is in contact with water it will be working.

I strongly recommend the use of a protein skimmer with invertebrates, especially filter feeding varieties.  That being said, I'd have to know what size tank you have to make a recommendation.  Generally, if the tank is 65 gallons or less you can use the CPR BakPak II protein skimmer.  We carry it as well as the PhosBan on our online catalog www.aquariumcrazyfish.com if you would like additional details.

Best of luck!

Regards,
Scott Johnson
