Too messy

Hello! I hope this will be an easy answer.  I have salty buildup around the top rim of my 46gal tank.. Of course, only where it is not covered, only about 2 inches in back.  What is the best way to cover this area up effeciently, around the in/out tubes for my filter and elec. cords.  Please help, it's too messy and it is driving me crazy.   Thanks

unfortunately salt creep can't really be helped, even if you cover them up it will still creep onto the covers.

sorry, i know that doesn't help much, i guess all you can do is keep cleaning. i include the cleaning of that in my water change routine.
