Question
I recently noticed that all of my fish are breathing really fast compared to what they usually do, its not the ammonia i checked that. I was wondering would adding a air stone in the tank help the fish? I have two koralia 3's, one koralia 1, and two nanos so i dont know why there wouldnt be to much oxygen in the tank. The tank size is a 75 g. I appreciate the help.

Answer
Hello,

can you pleaes tell me a bit about your setup?  do you have a skimmer?  A sump? and hang on tank filter or cannister filter?

what are your water paramters?

O2 is usually introduced into the water column via water splashing, or water falling thru an over flow, or water spraying back into the tank from a filter cannister...

an air stone would be a fix, to a problem, (assuming you are having an o2 issue)

but you need a way to keep the water surface agitated.  the circulation pumps do not induce o2, they just push water..

good luck and please let me know what happenes
