Question
I have an outdoor pond. We have approx 16 fish and now have a fast growing toad (frog?)group of at least 17.  Is there a safe balance of numbers for the fish. I think some of them are missing.  Would toads eat them?

Answer
A lot of it depends on what kind of frogs they are.
Most will leave the pond after maturing. Bullfrogs will eat fish (and almost anything else that tickles their fancy).
Otherwise they do not tend to present a danger. You may see a brief nitrite spike during spawning, but a good filter system should take care of that fast (adding a beneficial bacteria product helps).
