pond with liner

Question
The pond suddenly empties but only occasionally. It stays full for weeks and then overnight it empties. This has happened a few times and is not good for the fish.
Can you please give me a possible explanation

Hey Stephen,HUH I have never heard that one before. You never said how big your pond is. A couple of things that have happened to me is I have a water fall and the splashing will cause water to go down gradually and you don't notice then one day you wake up and it looks really low. If its not a very big pond deer could be getting in it I know they do mine. You could have something getting in the pond and trying to get the fish or the worst case is that you have a leak. I had a leak in my hose going to my water fall and when I let it run all night the next morning my pond would be very low. That about all I can think of . Look for wet spots around the pond soft dirt ect. The water has to be going somewhere. Thanks Eric
