FILTER FOR A FINISHED KOI POND

Question
Hi CARLO,

I have a friend who constructed a concrete pond only to find out that he needs a filter system to keep his kois alive and healthy. His pond is about 5,000 gals.

What would be the most practical and less messy and expensive way of adding a filter system to his finished pond?

A multi-chamber concrete filter system would be great but is very expensive. Would a BioSteps#10 Portable Filter Box being advertized in the internet do? The ad claims it can filter up to 2,000 gals but I really doubt it. If I used the BioSteps#10, how many units do you think I should install?

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Lee,

There is a company called Aquascape Designs that sell something called biofalls.

Check them up and let me know what you think.
I have been using their products and they are very good.
There are models that would suit your purpose.
