Dear Stephanie, I have one of two goldfish with fin rot, the other looks fine. Should I treat the whole tank or remove the afflicted fish and
treat it individually, in a bowl? I just put a new filter in the tank and it has carbon in it and will have to be removed or I,ll have to wait two weeks to treat tank. Thank You for your advise. Suzanne

Do not wait two weeks to treat the tank! That will only make matters worse.
I would say that it would be best to treat the whole tank, and yes, take the carbon out. Your other fish may get finrot because one had it, so if you treat them all it will do more help then hurt.
Keep a close eye on your fish, take care!
