crawfish and crabs- Both Freshwater

can crayfish and crabs live together in the same tank... I have a 36 gallon tank with angel fish and tiger barbs...8 in all... and a crayfish. Can I add any freshwater crabs?

Hi Jeff,
Predicting what any wild critter will do is always a gamble. I would say 'Yes' they can live together because crabs should be safe from the crayfish's claws due to their own tough outer shell... But I can't guarantee anything.

I would be sure to provide lots of hiding places for both species.. And make sure they have an area they can get out of water from if need be.
