fading fish

i have an angle fish which is about 3 years old recently he has started to fade is there any reason for this.

Is your fish a freshwater angel (p. scalare) or marine? colour change is usually a problem in marine angels. Fading colour in an angel is sometimes caused by stress or dietary change or long-term lack of certain nutrients in their diet. Have you introduced any changes to the tank in terms of new fish? Or maybe your water parameters are a little off - if you can do a water-change and/or have it tested at your LFS. Not sure quite what else it can be.
