Trickle Filters

Question
Hello,

I recently moved and had to take apart my 180 gallon "reef ready" fish tank -- I am now trying to put it back together but am unable to determine one thing-- There is a hole in each corner of the tank which the water is suppossed to filter down into the trickle filter underneath my tank -- This is connected by pvc pipe and flexible plastic tubes -- Now my question is can you give me an exact sealant/glue and where I can buy it to use to connect the flexible tube to the pvc connectors? I am hearing many different things and am confused -- I bought a perfecto silicone from petsmart but heard this doesn't stick to the plastic well -- I bought a marine goop from ace hardware and heard this will kill the fish and also I bought pvc sealant from another hardware store which a fish store owner said wouldn't kill the fish when it dries -- Any ideas I am confused ???

Any information would help thanks!

Matt

Answer
Hi Matt
I saw your question in our question pool.  I'd recommend posting this question(if you haven't already) over in the salt water aquarium experts section.  They should be more familiar with what would work for those materials on your tank.

My 2 cents...I've always been told when using silicone, to make sure it says aquarium safe on the tube.

Good luck and hope someone can help you!!
