Mickey mouse platys babies

My little brother got three Mickey mouse platys for his birthday about 3 months ago, one of them is pregnant. We have placed her in  separate mesh tank inside the original tank and shes started to give birth. I was wondering approximately how many babies shes going to have and when i should remove her from the babies mesh tank.

Congratulations on the new babies!
The number of babies depends on the the individual fish of course. Younger platies will have fewer babies and older fish will have larger batches of babies. The usual number on average is about 30-60 or more. Just depends.

You can remove the female once you see that she has stopped producing babies and her belly looks small then I would remove her then.
