keeping only females

Question
I don't want baby fry.  Can I only keep female swordtails or would only male platies or females be better.

Hi Katie,
Either way should work fine -- either all males or all females. However, I do know that male swordtails often want to fight eachother a lot. So its best not to try that.

Just one thing, when you get females keep in mind they may already be pregnant because of being in a mixed gender tank in the petstore. So that's just something to remember, you may still get babies!
