Question
Hi, I was wondering what's wrong with my betta fish I had it for 1 month
the fish seemed happy and fine swimming around and blowing bubbles
to make a nest as usual. After awhile it started making weird movements
it'll move quicklyaround the fish bowl I was worried about it so I read a
lot of reviews about it and it seems like it has to do with the water and
temperature so I bought a new fish bowl and bought the tablet to clean
the water I thought everything would be ok but the fish just started
making that weird movement again and I don't know what else to do. It
eats fine as usual can you please help me with this.

Answer
Michael,

Well one problem is he is in a bowl. You need to take him out and put him in a tank. A 2.5 is good but a 5 gallon is better. Another problem is the tablets. Do not use them they don't work and you are wasting your money. You need to get a liquid water conditioner that will remove ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, and other chemical in the water. Thirdly, he needs a heater. Betta fish are tropical and need water temperature to be 82 degrees. You also need to be doing 25% water changes every week since they don't require a filter. I think once you move him to a tank, add a heater and conditioned water, you will see a great improvement in your Betta.
