jewel fish or green terror?

Hi I wanted to add some tankmates for my oscar I went to the pet store and found a fish that looked like a green terror and on the tank it said "green terror" however the employee told me that it was a jewel fish its a beautifull fish so I bought it either way (thinking it was a green terror). Him and my oscar get along however after closer inspection I noticed his fins are rounded like a jewel fish and he's more turquoise than green I'm very confused and I was hoping you could help me tell the diffrence between these two species and help me figure out what kind of fish mine is. Thank you

  That's pretty hard to do without a photograph to go by.
