Upside-down goldfish

Question
I came upon this site because I was looking for a solution to my fish's upside-down problem. I saw an article where a person had a similar problem and you had mentioned constipation being a possible cause. My fish used to have long strings of feces that appeared almost immediately after feeding. After reading the article it dawned on me that that hasn't been occuring lately. My fish is a small fancy goldfish. Would the pea diet you suggested work for him?

Answer
Hi Kelsey,
It is definitely worth trying the pea diet.

In general, long strings of (brown) feces are a great thing to see coming out of a fish and indicate that all is well inside the fish.  White stringy feces are a sure sign of intestinal problems.
