red devils fish

i have a red devils fish and it keeps on eating the smaller fish that are not the same kind but i want to go and buy more fish but i don't know what other fish he wont eat besides his own kind he is don't big like 5in. so what other fish can i buy. plese give me info.

Hi Olivia,

Red Devils are devils by name, devils by nature. I wouldn't really recommend keeping anything with this type of Cichlid purely because they are so territorial and aggressive. If you really want to keep something with him make sure the fish you buy is bigger than him and able to defend itself against attack. Really you're looking at something like a Plec.
