Question
will a small (for now) two-three inch sailfin plecostomus get along with a
raphael catfish or two and a currently small dojo loach? i would like to have
plecos in with my goldfish again, they aren't doing as well without the old
ones that died a while back. i have always had good luck with goldfish and
plecos, even though some say it is a bad combo. if he doesn't get along with
them would he get along with two bolivian ram cichlids and a small sengel
bichir?

Answer
I would definitely recommend the latter choice of the ram and the bichir. While you may have had outstanding luck in the past with goldfish and plecos, both of these fish together need an enormously large tank, since both of these types of fish grow large, and are eating, pooping machines (pardon my french).
Depending on how large your tank is though, you may be able to pull it off and have your fish live long, healthy lives (as long as you don't overfeed, do very frequent water changes and keep the temp at a happy medium for these fish that come from different areas).
