fantails

we have a fantail well several and one has grown a what i can describe is a cauliflower on its back. its been ok for ages but now the other rish are eating the tumor like thing, i have seperated him now can you help please.

 Sorry, but I'm not quite sure how to help.  It appears that one of your fish has grown a tumor.  There is nothing you can do about that.  Separating them seems like a good idea.
