Question
hi.  within the next few months i will be purchasing a 75 gallon tank.  i need help with stocking/compatability.  there are so many options!!  i need some advice.  i'd like to get: a kissing gourami, pleco, angelfish, cories, and neon tetras.  what else would go good with these species?  i'm thinking the neon tetras aren't a great idea b/c i know the gourami gets big and the tetras will probably become food.  i appreciate your recommendations.  thanks!

Answer
Hi Carrie

Neons will not be good with the Angels or the Gourami. When both are large enough, they will eat the Neons.

I have a 75 gallon Angelfish tank with the following

6 Angels (various colors)
1 Snakeskin Gourami
4 Black Mollies
2 Swordtails
3 Congo Tetras
4 Black Tetras
1 Keyhole Cichlid
1 Redtail Shark
1 Dojo Loach (aka Weather Loach)
2 Cory Cats

A Pleco would work in this tank as well. If you get a Kissing Gourami, they get quite large so you would want to thin out one of the others to allow room for him. Maybe take off the Mollies or the Swordtails. This is a semi-aggressive tank, but is peaceful for the most part. Most everyone in my tank leaves the others alone. Just a starting suggestion for you. As you mentioned the possibilities are many.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Richard
