Chalk Bass

Question
Hello, I am thinking about getting a pet fish for the first time in a loooong time. Back when I was little I had little gold fish, but that doesn't really count I guess.
I am thinking of getting at least two Chalk Bass, but I keep reading that these fish that only grow to be 3 inches need a 30 gallon tank.
If I were to only have two of these tiny fish, would I really need a bigger tank then what I have now? (( Fish bowl tank, probably only 3 gallons )) I find it a bit hard to believe that such a tiny fish needs that much room.

Also, I live near the ocean..Like right on it. If I were to indeed get a salt water fish, would it be a bad idea to fill the tank with salt water from the ocean when it needs to be changed? Honestly it doesn't sound like it would be a big deal and would make things a lot easier, but I want to make sure that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Answer
well a bowl isnt good for anything other than a betta as you cant get a filter/heater or much in there and most fish need a large spase..i dont know anything anout chalk bass but you will need a bier tank, and no you cant get water from the sea, if you think about it, all the sewage and stuff thats in the sea..not really a good idea..if your starting with fish and want to keep your bowl i would DEEPLY advise getting a betta, they are easy to care for and you can keep your bowl :)
