white spot on goldfish

My goldfish has a white spot on his scales, like he lost the pigment in his scales, but only in one spot. None of the other fish have lost any color, so I don't think it is from the lack of light, which they are given enough.

Ellen, it sounds as if the fish just has an injury from something. Doesn't sound like a disease at this point but could easily allow a disease to be acquired. Just monitor the water quality and make sure its healthy and upon the first sign of sickness, if any, then worry of diseases. If that happens, I recommend Maracyn brand medication. Good luck
