Question
i bouht 2 paradise fish a month or so ago not knowing they were male and female.within 2 weeks i had babys,i have about 120 3 week old babys an they are doing fine.he is fine with them an tended to them all this time(i removed the female once they hatched).i didnt clean them for 2 weeks as the little 1s were 2 tiny 2 remove 2 clean.i had sand the in the bottom and noticed tiny worms on the glass which i know can appear due 2 un eaten food.i spent over 2 hours yst cleaning the tank taking them out 1 by 1 and as i was doing it i noticed the male shaking his head violently from side 2 side an there were lots of bubbles coming out of his mouth,i saw him do it again this morning an i only noticed cause i could hear a clicking noise coming from the tank and it was him shaking his head so much so it was making a funny sound!after this happens he swims and hides under the bridge.he is still eating but a little quieter.also he is usually very dark in color with orange stripes an 4 a couple of hours yst he went almost white an was completely transparent!!!it was odd.he is normal color now though.i think also that he has a very thin white line appear on his mouth.iv looked online and cant see an explanation for it.hope u can help me with it as iv grown very fond of him.

Answer
Danielle,
The shaking and vibrating is normal. He is a male protecting his fry and with your cleaning the tank, he is afraid that you will hurt the them. He is in protection mode. As for the worms, your fish will take care of them including the fry.
