My bird is loosing his feathers on his chest and around his wings. I just found him or her the other night where someone had thrown him in the trash dumpster. I have sterelized his cage, sprayed him and his cage really good with mite spray,even though I haven't seen any mites. he's always like picking at his feathers, any advice and help will be greatly appreciated.

It seems like your bird is plucking its feathers. There are however, several reasons for this, maybe, lack of stimulation, stress, not enough minerals or vitamins in its diet, (a poor diet) and several other reasons.

I would take the bird to a vet to have it examed. This however, may be the only reason to cure it.
