lucerne and alfalfa difference

hello madam. are you sure lucerne and alfalfa are same? please dont mind, i asked a horse racing expert, what does lucerne mean. he answered me that he doesnt know what is lucerne. my aim is to extract equine knowledge from as many as equine professionals till i understand correctly and thoroughly. please dont misunderstand me. think that i'm your student. regarding equine nutrition i will be surely asking you. clear most of my doubts. i am highly thankful to you since you cleared most of my doubts. thank you

Thank you for your question.  Lucerne and alfalfa are indeed the same thing.  I appreciate your desire to learn as much about nutrition as you can, although it may take some time one question at a time.  Perhaps you can look for a college or extension program in your area that has classes in nutrition, or maybe a group of fellow racehorse owners could get together to hire a consultant to come in for a seminar.  Don't get me wrong, you're welcome to ask as many questions as you need to...but a more in-depth program may be of some benefit for you.
