equine vet treating all other animals in general

hello ma'am, in general, can an equine veterinarian be able to treat any animal? i mean, giving de-worming and vaccination shots, writing prescriptions for animals other than the horse or he should only know how to treat horses not other animals?

Thank you for your question.  It is quite common that large animal veterinarians treat all types of livestock, and routinely attend to horses, cattle, goats and sheep.  Some veterinarians may specialize in one species if there is enough local business to keep them working full time at that one species alone.
