Question
hello, how many gallons of water a horse is supposed to drink daily in hot and cold climate? please tell me correctly madam. i am totally dependent on your answer. i thankful to you for clearing most of my doubts. so kind of you.

Answer
Hello Caine,

Thank you for your question.  A horse, doing no work, in a moderate climate should consume a minimum of 10 gallons of water per day.  A thoroughbred racehorse, training and racing in a warm climate should consume 30-40 gallons.

I hope that helps.

Thanks, Corlena
