QuestionWhat book or books would you recommend on this topic!?

Brian
AnswerUnless you are entering lunge line classes or in hand, there really isn't anything geared to yearlings that I am familiar with.
Bringing up Baby by John Lyons is one of them.
But that said?
Other than teaching one to lead, stand for farrier, and being groomed I really think a young horse is best left to grow up, without intensive training of any type. They are still growing mind and body, and just do better.
Showing is one thing of course, but if you aren't geared towards that, I'd let horse grow up.
If you don't have much horse experience, than check and see if Western Horseman didn't have a book about starting young horses.
