fluid lumps in girth area

I have a pony who has developed 2 fluid filled lumps in girth area that seem to pop up right after exercise. They seem to eventually disppear by the next day but came back after I ride him. They do not seem painful at all to him. He is overweight and I am trying to ride him frequently to get him back in shape. It has been very hot in our area so I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

It sounds like his girth is irritating him.  Try a different kind and make sure to clean your girth after each ride.  If another girth made out of a different type of material doesn't work, then try a sheep skin cover over the girth.
