QuestionI have a 3 Year old Quarter horse who is already the largest in the herd. He has very long legs and I think he would be perfect for jumping, so when do I start training? I know if you start too early they can have knee and leg problems, but does his early growth spurt make a difference? Or is there a certain age???
AnswerHi Kim,
Your horse should be ready for training any time:)
by training...get him balanced at a walk trot and canter with someone on his back..and then trot him over ground poles and stuff...b4 u start jumping him. He should be fine!
Let me know later on how u make out!
