hi..I'm planning to buy a horse (I'm not sure if it's a quarter or thorough) but she's about 12 years old and never been impregnated since then..is it still possible that she'll get pregnant by that age? isn't it risky for her?

         A horse that is 12 years old is about middle age, she will still be able to get pregnant, but maiden mares no matter what age need to be watched closer then those who have had foals before. She could reject the foal, or labor could be harder for her. Just keep an extra eye on her near the end of her pregnancy and she should be okay.
