abyss???

hey my name is jess i just wanted to know what is the best way to treat an abyss (if thats how u spell is) my horse is a TB and he is 17hh please help :( thanxs

Hello Jess,
my apologies for the late reply. I was travelling abroad and thought I had E-mail access but that was not the case.
In the event that your question is still important to you, the best way to deal with abscesses is to call your farrier and/or vet and have them look at it. If not openend up correctly and treated the right way, your horse may be lame for quite some time. Also, in the event that you THINK it is an abscess but it is something else, like a puncture wound or other injuries, you want to catch it early and have the vet there....
