Question
I have a horse that I want to sell but I have no idea of how much I should ask for him.  Here is some information on him:

7y/o registered paint/warmblood cross-16hh.
Tabiano-chestnut and white.
Excellent hunter horse-10+ mover-has lots of presence.
Jumps 4ft 5in with potential to go higher.
Started western pleasure training and is doing great-wonderful western jog
Great trail horse-goes in groups or alone
Good with dogs, traffic, construction etc
Needs intermediate rider to take him to the top (he is not bad at all but he will progress a lot farther with a more advanced rider)
No vices
Bows and comes when called.

I am located in florida but I have not been here long so I dont know the running rate (I came from California where horses are priced extremely expensive).  If you could give me an approximate price of your opinion that will help me greatly.

Answer
hi gwendalyn,
i am located in southern california so i know what you mean by our horses being more expensive. your horse sounds great, he sounds like a very well trained and mannered horse. based on the information you have given me i would post him at 10k. you could get more, right now the market in california is down and im not sure what the market is like in florida right now but i would post him anywhere beetween 10-15k. dont go less then 10k he is definitly worth that much. good luck with your horse.
