Question
Would it hurt a pregnant horses to give it penicillin? My horse is pregnant and she has a cut in between her back legs, and he leg swells from time to time from it, and someone told me that i could give her some penicillin for about two weeks and she should be fine. but i wasn't sure since she was pregnant. I believe she got pregnant in August or September, it might have even been before that. Thank you

Not sure on this one.  A vet would be better to call and ask, they would not charge you to ask this and would be better prepared to give you a medical answer.  Unless the cut is infected, I would just use some antibiotic cream on it and let it heal until the foal is born.  But I would check with a vet if I were you.
