weight loss

Question
I have a 4yr old Qtr horse, who in the past 2-3 months has lost about 150lbs for no reason she is on healthy pasture and gets 2 scoops of 12% sweet feed and about a scoop of calf manna twice a day and has been wormed on a regular basis, but can not figure out why she is loosing weight.  If any ideas please respond I am about to take her on to our local vet to have blood drawn and an all over checkup done on her..

hello michelle, have her teeth checked and floated. when a horse cannot chew its food properly then it boody will not digest all of it. give her alfalfa and feed her rice bran. but definitly have your vet come out to float her teeth. good luck
