Questionhello sir, may i know what is a "roll toe shoe"? when to use it on horses?
AnswerHELLO ROHIT...THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION...
A "Roll toe" shoe is one that is "slightly bent" at the front of the shoe.
If you look at a shoe from a side view, it would have a slight bend at the toe to help breakover and get the front limb to move forward quicker.
A "Rocker toe" shoe is the same, except it is bent at about 5/6 degrees.
Now...looking at the shoe straight down on the ground surface and looking at it like a clock,
from 11:00 to 1:00; that part of the toe is where it's bend needs to be.
If a horse is "over reaching" or maybe heel sore, it can enhance and help by simply moving
forward quicker and breaking over with less effort.
Best To You !!
