My Friends turtle was picked up from the road is Saskatewan, Canada when he was a baby, he is now 12 years old. Since he was young his underside will be very read and itchy, Can you inform me what this might be? 1 more question, do water turtles get intestinal worms? ty

Worms- yes. Wild-caught turtle almost always have worms. A good vet can prescribe a safe treatment.

Red skin and shells is usually a sign of an infection- also something that the vet should look at.
