red ear slider problems

i have a full growm red eared slider . i went away on vacation and when i came back he had scrached up his neck. i was wondering if ther is a way to trim his nails or something so he wont hurt himself any more.

Hello Courtney, I am sorry your turtle got hurt.

Some pet stores do sell "reptile nail clippers" but its just as dangerous as clipping a dog's nails if not more.

But a trained vet can clip his nails safely.
