swollen turtle

QUESTION: hi i work at a pet store and we carry west African side-necked turtles at the moment we have one that is huge, we are thinking water logged so we have been taking him out of the water at nights. I'm asking for a second opinion because he is getting sores on his back legs. if you have any ideas on what we could do e-mail me.

ANSWER: This one needs a vet asap in case it is a vitamin a diff. and either way I can not advise without vet.

QUESTION: you where right we took him to the vet this morning and they kept him for observation and multiple vitamin shots. thanks do you have any suggestions on what we can do to prevent this from happening again?

In the future just be sure his foods are vitamin enhanced adn keep up the good work.
