Question
I have a ten gallon tank and I was wondering if that was large enough for a red eared slider turtle? if not I can't buy a larger tank but I would also like if you could advise me on what to buy, what type of turtle to buy and anything else that is essential for turtle care.

Answer
Jon ultimatly, the res will need a large outdoor pond to grow to their full potiential. This being said, you can house a baby in a 10 gal for a short time. maybe 6 months but you will then have to provide heat and uvb.  If you can, a outdoor pond is much better as it provides access to heat and uvb saving you money and adding to the quatlty of life.
