eating habit

hey i have one star tortoise.. now a days he eats cucumber is it ok?? and other thing i wana ask that how much time i should keep him in water...because when i put him in water he want to come out of it..

You're going to have to be more specific. What housing are you keeping the tortoise in? Do you have UVB lighting? Is cucumber all you are feeding it? I do have mandatory information that you were instructed to provide upon asking me a question. If you want answers you need to provide this information.

Where did you get this tortoise? It is my understanding that it is illegal to capture a wild Star Tortoise in India.
