pooping problem

Please help.  My glider is having a pooping problem. She can't go and sounds like she is in labor or something and then when she goes a little bit she can't drop the stool and wipes her butt on whatever she is standing on.  Stinks High Heaven.  Spent a fortune with 2 exotic vets already and still the problem.  She eats a sugar glider diet and all the food she is suppose to eat.  Her color is faded out too.  Please can you help..I don't want to put her down....Sharyn

Tough situation if the exotic vets haven't been able to help.  You can try canned pumpkin for the constipation.  She could also have some sort of urinary tract problem.  Did the vets give you any indication of what the problem is?  You can also try an apple cider vinegar solution which is a natural antibiotic.   

1 quart water    
2 teaspoons molasses
1 teaspoon all natural apple cider vinegar
Fill quart jar halfway with water.  Add other ingredients.  Shake to mix well. Add the rest of the water.  I would give it to her once a week and see if that doesn't help.   

When you wrote "she eats a sugar glider diet," you didn't mention which one.  Lots of diets out there claim to be a complete diet but are not.  She should be on a "proven" diet.  Here is a link to research the best sugar glider diets:

Now gliders do have a natural musky odor, but if she shouldn't stink bad.  What you are describing sounds diet related.
