Question
QUESTION: My bearded dragon wont seem to eat anymore, shes roughly 2 and a half years old and i haven't had any problems with her apart from a clicking in her lower jaw which shes had since i've had her, she stopped eating after the first time i introduced her to woodies that she went crazy for, but now she wont even look at them or any other type of food, I'm not sure what to do anymore.

ANSWER: Hello Joshua,

Do you have any pictures of your girl?
What type & brand of UVB are you using, a fluorescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?  How old is the UVB?
How often do you use calcium supplementation?
The clicking in her lower jaw could indicate some metabolic bone issues.
How is her color, does she have a black beard any, or not?
Does she support her body weight easily on all fours, or have any trouble when walking or climbing?

QUESTION: no sorry i don't have any pictures of her at this moment, and I'm using a fluorescent tube bulb in the enclosure, and its more then 4 months old, i use the calcium supplement when ever i feed her live food, I've been told the clicking in the lower jaw could be MBD but iv been told to watch her and keep feeding her calcium supplements, her color is a nice brown all over with no black beard and is looking very healthy and she has no problems moving around or climbing. Could this have anything to do with the male within the enclosure? if so, why is it only recently shes stopped eating?

ANSWER: Hello Joshua,

What brand of fluorescent tube bulb are you using?  How close is it to her, & is there any screen or plastic in between her & the light?
Oh you are housing a male & female together then?

You should probably separate them or put a divider in the tank in case he is dominating her.  Has he tried to mate her?
Could she have eggs possibly?
Did she eat anything today?  I would continue to give calcium several times per week right now.

QUESTION: I'm not real sure on the brand of the tube but it looks like a basic tube, and its a fair distance from her except when she climbs to the top of the log within the enclosure and there is no covering on the globe since she cant touch it yet, and no he hasn't tried to mate yet, the male isn't at the right maturity, today she still hasn't eaten anything, could she stop eating from the temperature within the enclosure? i have had a good look at the stuff in the enclosure and have found out the temperature has dropped down to 25 instead of the average 27-29

Answer
Hello Joshua,

The brand of the tube bulb should be stamped on the bulb somewhere.
How is she doing today?
Is the male eating?  Watch them closely because they will mate too early.
The basking temperatures need to be 35 to 43 and on the cooler end around 25 to 28 or so.
If she is not warm enough she wont eat most likely & she wont be able to digest, either.
