Question
I have two crested geckos in one cage and a whites tree frog in the other cage. I have a 75 gallon tank im planning on moving them into. I was hoping to combine the cresteds and the whites tree frog together and hopefully other rainforest reptiles and/or amphibians. Is this ok?

Answer
Hello Debs,

Unfortunately, it would not be a good idea to house geckos with a whites tree frog.  They could be eaten by the whites tree frog very easily.
Also, zoonosis is always a concern also as each species carry a unique bacteria, parasites & worms individual to their species but can make a different species ill.  There also may be a toxin in the frog's skin that could potentially make your crested geckos sick.
The tank setup & husbandry do have some differences, as well, especially the temperatures that they need.
It would also cause stress especially for the smaller species which could become preyed upon by the larger species which eventually will make your geckos' health start to decline.
If you want a tropical rainforest, you will need to get the same species of close to the same, to house together.  Housing different frogs is not recommended either because they all emit different toxins which can make them sick.
