Question
I put my inched Turtle in a 2 ft high by 1 ft wide by 1.5 ft high aquarium with water height at 15 inche.A filter pump and a small aquarium lighting to keep water temperature constant during cold raining season.Feed it with dried shrimps bought from a pet shop.
Please advise the right height of the water in the aquarium and water temperature. Is life fresh water fish a better feed? Should I put a platform for it to climb? There is an aquarium roof to prevent it from escaping. People says its bite is lethal as it can snap of the fingers but so far it has not shown any aggressive nature when I feed it.

Answer
OK, I can't give you "expert" advise on turtles because I don't keep them.  But, I'll give you some basics.

ALL turtles need to be able to get out of the water and bask under a UVB light (make sure it says UVB not just UV or UVA).

Soft-shells need a sandy bottom for shell health.

There are many good nutritionally sound turtle one can buy.  But, I don't know what you can find in Malay.

Temperature and water height all depend on the species.  And what you call a soft-shell in Malay is probably not the same species in Florida, USA.

Hope this helps!
