bearded dragon how to tell if heis sick

My dragon has turned pail and is not eating.  all he wants to do is sleep.  His beard has turned black and that has never done that.  He started shedding his skin about a month ago but is not done yet

 That would depend on the age of your dragon.  Anybody over a year old will have the urge to go into a semi-hibernation called brumation.  It is natural and a real anxious time for most first time beardie owners.
 It would be a good idea to have a pre-brumation check up at the vet and then prepare yourself for a quiet winter. For more information on brumation, check this site:
